The Deforestation Problem

Deforestation is the clearing of trees for purposes like construction without replanting and without allowing time for the forest to regenerate itself. It is one of the major contributors to climate change. ChloroFill's sorghum-based renewable building panels have the potential to mitigate deforestation.

The amount of sorghum needed to produce a standard size 2,000 square foot home is approximately the yield of one acre, which can grow in four months. It could take approximately 102 trees, which can take several years or more to grow, to produce that same size home. Additionally, sorghum requires a fraction of the water, and can also be produced for food or ethanol.
