ChloroFill™ board uses a resin binder that contains no formaldehyde or volatile organic compounds (VOCs).

What is Formaldehyde?

Formaldehyde is commonly used in the binder of particle board and other composite wood products. Formaldehyde is known to cause cancer and is an indoor air quality hazard linked to respiratory illness, asthma, and premature death, especially among children and the elderly. Formaldehyde exposure can also increase sensitivity to other chemicals.

Building codes are increasingly cracking down on formaldehyde use in buildings and furnishings. In the United States, the California Air Resource Board, for example, mandated a 66% reduction in formaldehyde emissions from composite wood products by the year 2012.

ChloroFill products are formaldehyde-free and do not add toxins to the air that you breathe.
